SHORT STORY

A girl gets up in the morning at a regular time every day
Being late for work is not a good thing
Covering her breakfast and put it in the fridge
Door is open and she walks out of the room
Elevator is coming
From the floor above her
Go straight down to the main floor
He stands next to her
Introduing himself
James
Knows photography
Learning phychology in college
Moved into this building last week
New with everything
Offering help is my pleasure
Phone number is on this paper
Questions will be answered
Run to opposite directions
Stop at the traffic lights
The winter is over
Under the roof
Variable flowers are coming out
Walking in the crowd
Xeric weather makes it hard for people to smile with dry faces
Yellow leaves are gone with fall
Zoned city has sweet stories everyday

Future

Future

I may go to college a year later than my classmates
because I think I need more time to prepare for the application
I hope that I can get into a good college
and I assume that I will go to it next year
and I will have one free year that I can do anything I want
I will go travelling
go to places that I have been and have not been
to meet different people
to listen different stories
to tell and write my own stories that are packed in my backpack
I may stay at a cheap hotel
There is no hot water
It may smell bad
but I may meet some people holding guitars
some people packing cameras
some people who do not know each other
but smile after the first glance
Everyone here does not know anyone
Everyone here knows everyone
They all have stories
and other people won't ask
It's up to them if they want to tell strangers
Most of them do
because the people who listen to their stories
may not appear in their life again
Leaving people teach me that
losing is a common thing
Don't be sad
you will meet more people
who have experienced more than
people you currently know
Go on kid
You still have a long way to go
And then they leave
and I leave too
There are always young people
entering and leaving the hotels
Some of them think that
the room is their home
even it smells
They don't care
every place they have been is their home
Then they won't feel lonely
if they treat the whole world a
as their home
then they won't get lost
There are always people who do not care about anything
I can also learn something from them
even they don't talk to me
Sometimes I know you have been in a story once
even though I do not know the person's name
but I know that I will remember them in my future
and so do them
After a period
I will come home
pack my bags and prepare for college
I am always afriad of new environment
because I assume that I am asocial
Travelling is different
and I'm not afraid of it
I love it
I can find myself on my road trip
I can feel that I do exist in this world
I will fall in love with a stranger in a strange city
and then leave without any worries or regret
Maybe I will go home
sleep in
and have breakfast mom makes me
and stay at home all day long
watch videos
write something if I feel good
and read books
If I have time
I may clean up my bookshelf
and put away all my loving books
because I'm leaving
I'm not leaving you
I'm not leaving for a while
just a little while
The minute I just spend
will be a part of my past
Maybe letting every minute in my life
be rememberable and vaulable
is a good idea
It will be cool to have
a meaningful life
I won't care about other people's opinions
Do whatever I want
and go home sometime to take a walk
with mom and dad
after supper I make for them
It must be a delightful future
Don't you think so

They laugh. I laugh.
They smile. I smile.
They greet. I greet.
They keep quiet. I keep quiet.
They talk. I keep quiet.

He laughs. I smile.
He smiles. I smile.
He greets. I smile.
He keeps quiet. I smile.
He talks. I smile.

I keeping smile and keeping quiet.

Flash Fiction 3

Miss Timeless is walking on the street.
She wants to buy a pair of shoes for her friend's wedding.
She remembers that phone call from her friend to share with her how excited she is.
Miss Timeless does feel happy for her and promises that she will be in her wedding.
She has been alone for a long time. She hates it but sometimes enjoys it.

As she walks by, she sees a old building with a big white sign on the wall.
Shoes.
She stops, and stares at the broken red old building for a second.
And then, she decides to go inside.

There are so many shoes.
There is nobody but shoes.
She tries one pair on and walk with them, carrying her own worn shoes in her hand.
The window is open and she can see the blue sky through it.
She walks towards the window wearing the new shoes.
She puts her old shoes on the floor as she stops by the window.

The light wind blows her hair.
She closes her eyes.
She sees her old house with a blue door. There is a blue bicycle against the wall.
Children are playing in the door-yard. Balloons are floating in the sky.
She is laughing around with many friends.
They play hide-and-see on the empty street and her eyes are covered.
She hears a car moving.
And her eyes are covered all the time after that.

She hears someone's footstep.
She opens her eyes and sees a blind man with tattoos on both arms.
"Miss, did you find everything?"
"Yes."
"All right, let me help you."
The man helps her get her new and old shoes and go downstairs.
"Watch out for the stairs." He holds her hand.
Miss Timeless walks slowly with the stick.
She sees the sign.
Brightness.

Flash Fiction 1

Flash Fiction 1

Parents

My parents and I drive home after the dinner in my aunt's house.
It's late but lights in the city are still on.
The radio is on and a girl sings softly.
I sit in the back row and look the passengers through the window.
Neither my mom nor my dad talks.
Well, I'm kind of enjoying the silence, but I can tell that my parents do not.
They both have something inside and they are thinking about it.
The car stops in the crossing when the traffic light turns red.
My mom says something in a low voice.
Hey sweetie. I don't have mom and dad any more.
And she keeps driving.
It is still silent in the car and the radio is still on.
